Roadway Improvements

Construct two eastbound and two westbound lanes, separated by a curbed grass median, on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) from Clayton Park to just east of Chelsea Parkway/Bethel Avenue. Construct a Bethel Township Commercial Road along the south side of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) between Route 261 (Foulk Road) and Creek Parkway.

Garnet Mine Road

  • Realign U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) near Garret Mine Road
  • (This intersection is closed as part of a PennDOT Safety Project that has been completed in advance of Section 102 improvements.)

Foulk Road (Route 261) Interchange

  • Reconfigure and reconstruct the U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) Interchange
  • Install new traffic signals

Colonial Drive

  • Eliminate left turns

Creek Parkway/Bethel Township Commercial Road

  • Upgrade traffic signal
  • Reconstruct the intersection to provide four through lanes and turn lanes on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway)

Sommers Lane

  • Eliminate connection

Chelsea Parkway/Bethel Avenue

  • Upgrade traffic signals 
  • Reconstruct the intersection to provide four through lanes and turn lanes on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway)  
  • Reconstruct Chelsea Parkway from Chichester Avenue to the U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway)/Chelsea Parkway intersection
  • Construct Bethel Avenue cul-de-sacs on north and south sides of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway)
